Pharmacist-led, Portsmouth-based
Healthcare that doesn't waste your time.
Gunwharf Travel Clinic is a pharmacy-based clinic on Queen Street, helping people prepare for travel without making the appointment feel complicated.
Why we exist
Travel health, the way it should be.
We started Gunwharf Travel Clinic because travel advice often felt rushed, generic, or buried behind GP queues. Pharmacy-based care can be quick, calm and properly informed — without the wait.
Inside the clinic on Queen Street.
01 — Pharmacy-based
A familiar setting most patients already know. The team is used to everyday health questions and walk-in conversations, and the hours fit around work and school.
02 — Plain Communication
If a vaccine isn't right for your trip, we say so. We explain options in everyday language and only recommend what makes sense for the journey you're taking — no jargon, no hard sell.
03 — Patient-first
Your destination, dates, accommodation, activities and medical history shape the advice. We listen first and prescribe second.
04 — Local
On Queen Street, easy to reach. Patients come from across Portsmouth, Southsea, Gosport, Fratton, Hilsea, Cosham, Waterlooville, Havant, Fareham and Chichester.
Credentials
Pharmacist-led, properly regulated.
Our team are qualified pharmacy professionals working under UK regulatory standards. Vaccinations are given following current UK guidance, with proper records and certificates where needed.

01 — GPhC registered
The clinical team holds current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council, the UK regulator for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
02 — Current immunisation guidance
Vaccine recommendations follow current UK travel health resources, including TravelHealthPro and the Green Book on Immunisation Against Infectious Disease.
03 — Pharmacy-grade standards
Cold-chain storage, single-use equipment, sharps disposal and infection control are part of how a pharmacy clinic operates day-to-day.
04 — Clear records
You leave with a written record of what you've had, when, and any follow-up doses. Yellow Fever certificates are issued where required for entry to certain countries.
